Yes the rate goes up and down directly related to comments made in the press regarding Brexit issues. It tends to get better the more staying in / 2nd referendum rhetoric there is.

For the past 2-3 years the xchange rate has been erratic to say the least. As soon as it starts to climb a point if r2o some bright politician in the UK makes a comment and down it plummets. Fed up knocking the proverbial out if pensions.

Mark Carney is the main culprit.

Proves a point. When Brexit is mentioned, £ to € goes down. When Brexit disappears off the radar, it goes up. Funny that. QED... stay in Europe and we may even get somewhere near where we were before the idiocy of Brexit started two and a half years ago!!!!

People here used to moan about being
1 Too hot in summer
2 Too cold in winter,, we demand our winter heating allowance, moan, moan, moan.
3 The value of the pound against the euro, moan, moan, moan.

Roll on 29/03/19, when we can all get back to enjoying our retirement in the country that WE ALL CHOSE to enjoy for holidays, friendship and retirement.

I'm not sure Mark Carney is a reliable indicator. He has already proclaimed doom, gloom and the sky falling in several times, yet here we all are.More input from Barrack Obama?
Regarding exchange rates, the bottom line is people with huge amounts of money gambling on making even more money using various"panics"to manipulate the market. Is George Soros on his way to a food bank yet?
twoeyes2c,above,is spot on.
