When you install these alarms remember that they should be sited close to the ground,unlike smoke alarms.

Carbon Monoxide and Smoke alarms should be installed as per the Manufacturers instructions and definitely not close to the floor.

Just looked at the instructions on mine,both said fit at eye level, both different makes, floor level is a no no

Carbon Monoxide is heavier than air and will fill a space from the ground up.If you are lying in bed 3ft from ground level you will perish before me if I am in top bunk.
