The Pound to Euro rates are terrible. A year ago it was 1.15 and dropped down to 1.10 before rising back to around the rate in March 2018.
I am not sure what the point is in trying to talk up Sterling on this forum when the date moves be a cent or so.
Somebody did this a while ago when the rate went from 1.13 to 1.14 and said everything was going to be great and we have gone nowhere.
A 1 cent increase in the rate will give you an extra couple of beers a month and a decrease will get you a couple of beers less.
Why not wait until we get back to the rate just before the Referendum when a Pound was worth 1.30 Euros?

Thanks for your negative thoughts GrahamR. Personally I’d rather have a couple of extra beers than not. This is a discussion forum. You read my post and discussed it, job done.

Why don't we change from Sterling to the Euro and be done with the fluctuating rates? (Puts Tin Hat On)

I agree totally. The only people that benefit are the banks.
The same with miles or kilometres. Big differences about what we should use but, whatever the measurement, a journey will still take the same time.
Remember decimalisation? We got used to it
