Thanks. Still no joy. I need to set up a port forward, and all the pages are locked except for the index (information) page.

In all the years ive been using the internet (and we are talking from the first days back in 1982) ive never seen a router screwed down so hard to the point you cant alter ANYTHING on it. Very silly.

I managed to get into the Admin in mine - from memory (as I am now in UK) the details are under the wi-fi PW underneath the router.

Should be written on the bottom of the router.

nah its all the customer account USER/USER. That account has no privs, ie all the config pages are locked. Theres a second user ADMIN, which has access to all the router config pages. Lots of suggestions above, all draw a blank, i did have a good google before i posted. The only way will be to either use a packet sniffer or try and read the internal memory with chip reader

Does the USER/USER account allow you to save/backup the config settings?

If so, then you should be able to identify the admin user password. It will be hashed, but as you know the password for USER, which will also be hashed, it should be straightforward to decode it.

Unless it's been hard coded in somehow a factory reset should set it to the manufacturers default but obviously you'd need to know all the operating parameters before doing that.

I use a local provider who normally lock down their router but after simply telling the that I needed to assign some fixed IP addresses and do some port forwarding they readily gave me admin access so the suggestion to ask DVBLabs was not flippant.
