Processionary caterpillars

Postby Pipsyspup » Sun Mar 03, 2019 4:28 pm

Hi everyone, please be aware that this morning outside Sabadell bank on Quesada high street, and outside Redz cafe, there were processionary caterpillars on the pavement and crawling up to the slope outside the bank. We didn't see them at first until my granddaughter accidentally stood on them! Please dog owners be aware!!

I think if you had pets you would know about them but also dangerous to children too. Here's some info;

Are there any pine trees near Sabadell? We have been assuming that they come down from the trees and would be found nearby. Or can the little bugger walk for miles and pitch up anywhere?

There is one line tree there, but no evidence of nests!
