But don't be confused Jonnno by the 'Russian', maybe that's the owners, as the food is International and the restaurant is lovely. Definitely a place for a 'bit special'.

If you can get as far as Benijofar there’s also La Cosecha, Fratelli’s’s, The Breeze bar, Plaza Differente, Bar Sonia, Maite and several others.
In Rojales El Respiro is a really quirky place with home cooked Spanish food, also The Bridge Bar, also Restaurante Josemar, and Braseria Dani down a small alley beside the town hall.
There are SO many places,
There are also several places on El Raso, and of course the two large ones on the Lemon Tree road, Manolos, and Las Rosas, both Spanish and both with a v reasonable menu del Dia.
Let us know how you get on.

The Med Bar in El Raso is one of my favourite places for lunch. Great variety on the menu and a lovely setting in its new location.

Another suggestion..
El Muelle on the sea front near Hombre Del Mar. It is the ambiance and location that is so perfect. You are sitting at a beautiful table set with sparking glasses and polished cutlery on a white linen table cloth over looking the sea. Normally, we choose to sit outside on the prom but you could choose to sit inside if you would prefer. We love it as do many others as when outwalking,we envy all those lucky people relaxing, enjoying lunch and sipping their vino.
Note. El Muelle is the restaurant with the lights around the palm trees.

Thank u so much for all the suggestions - far more than I expected. Plenty to keep me occupied for rest of this year. There are some that really stand out. Will feed back on those I really enjoyed.
