Recommend a quiet electric kettle please?

Hi all
A slightly odd request, but living open plan is a real problem when watching tv and boiling our very loud kettle. From your own kitchens,can anyone recommend a quiet kettle that doesn’t sound like our Philips / Harley Davidson model.

Hi I got mine from consum and must admit it's the quietest one I've ever had

We use a Quooker boiling water & permanently boiling & silent just use to fill as many or few mugs / cups slight water running noise for the seconds it takes to fill the mug.

Good question I agree they make so much noise.

I agree too mine sounds like lift off and it's a Russell Hobbs one not a cheapie make. If it's on and hubby is in the kitchen and me in the lounge, I'll say something and he'll shout back I CAN'T HEAR YOU THE KETTLES ON!!

It is the metal bodied ones that are really noisy. Buy one with a plastic body.

Spanish don’t do quiet.
