Mondeo, you say you "picked books up" ?
Did you give a delivery addresse different from home address, or are parcels delivered else where?

"Post box at the Correos" sorry what's that?

Go to the Correos in Rojales at the side of the river.. ask for a post box.. they will want to see proof of identity..you pay them about 70 euros for the year, then they give you a key and there are a lot of boxes across the wall...one will be yours..

If normal letters come they are put in the box and you just take them..if the parcel is too big for the box they will put a piece of paper in the box saying your parcel is behind the desk.. you show the post lady (usually) your piece of paper, and they give you your parcel.. you have to show you proof of identity and off you go...

Your address will be something like..

Apartado 123
Correos de Rojales,
Rojales
Alicante
03170

...Or if you are in Quesada or Dona Pepa then The Post Box will be nearer and does the same thing:

I like and understand the idea of Correos boxes or the similar service offered by the "post Box" in Quesada and others but what I'm not clear on is how you incorporate your official residential address (for bank, revenue, local authority, Gas, electricity, water companies etc) with a PO box number, is it "your real address" care of a "PO box number" ?
Sorry if I'm being dull but this is all new to me LOL...

All our post goes to our Correos address just like it would to your house address...

all you have to do is tell the bank, electric company, your pension provider or anyone else your Correos address (as above) and that is where your post will be delivered to...

incidentally they also have a Correos in Quesada near the Quesada chippy

Theres three Correos in Torrevieja, and all are a nightmare to get near in a car. Best bet is park on harbour car park and walk the 6 or so blocks to it.
