I volunteer at Help Vega Baja & we are running some trips with the help of Eurotourguide, trips include a 3 course lunch 6 are a lovely wayt to meet new people & make friends + have a great day in the process.
Our programme is:
April 25th Murcia Spring Festival Flower Parade:
Local pick ups, €26 including 3 course lunch, wine & coffee
Enjoy a lovely day out exploring the city of Murcia with the added bonus of the Flower Parade. The Spring Festival is in full swing with the Barracas offering traditional Murcian rural cuisine. The small but delightful Batalla de las Flores Parade with beautiful costumes of flowers begins at 17:30 and lasts around half an hour. You might be lucky and catch some of the thousands of flowers thrown from the floral floats.
June 21st Alicante Hogueras Fiesta & San Juan:
Spend the day in Alicante at the start of the Hogueras Fiesta celebrations and witness the mascleta at 14:00. A walking map will be provided to ensure that everyone will see the Ninots & discover parts of the City that you may not have visited. The day finishes with a delightful journey on the tram along the coastline to the neighbouring San Juan where the Coach will meet us for our homeward journey.
September 26th La Romana & Yecla Grape Harvest:
The day starts with a scenic drive over the Hondons to the charming village of La Romana, where we will stop for coffee. Following this we will pass through the scenic ‘huerto’ at the time of the grape harvest to the pretty town of Yecla where we will stop for lunch. We will also visit a local Bodega before heading back down the Vinalope Valley stopping for coffee at one of its lovely towns.
November 21st Alcoy & Ibi:
Spend the morning in the lovely town of Alcoy which is famous for its Saint Georges Moors & Christians Fiesta, and has many other attractions such as the Firemans Museum. It is a short journey to the nearby Font Roja Natural Park for a great view point, beautiful Sanctuary and interesting exhibition space. During the afternoon we discover the town of Ibi, which is the the capital of the Spanish Toy making industry.
