Private Messages

Quick question, probably been asked before, but when you send somebody a private message does the recipient get an alert to know that there is something in their Talk Quesada inbox.

Reason for asking is that I have recently sent messages to two different forum members and they are still in my outbox so I know they have not read them.

How do they know they are there. Is it clear when they log in?

I always get a message from admin when someone sends a PM, maybe they do not want to answer your PM

Thanks jpeg, maybe that is the case,

Strange though as one member suggested a pm for more advice if I needed, and as they are in my outbox I assumed they had not been read, but thanks for your response

put a comment on the post that you have sent a PM or use the email facility

You need to specify in the User Control Panel that you want to be notified of any new PM`s ...If you don`t, you won`t be notified.

Thanks TerryG, maybe the forum members I contacted have not done that, which could explain why messages have not been read
