Wall papering.

Good day all fellow bloggers, I am wanting to update the lounge in our property and was thinking of using wallpaper to creat a focus wall bit am concerned that the paper will adhere properly to the current painted light stucco finish which seems so common in Spanish homes. Any help and advice from anyone with past experience of this would be most welcome. Thanks in advance

Thanks jpeg, looks like the golden rule is paper onto smooth walls only as I suspected.

Get an electric sander and sand the surface off ,internal walls seem to have a finish the looks like thick paint flicked at it so not that hard to remove if the paper is not of a thick equality maybe line the wall first with lining paper ..wall paper is not that easy to get here an not cheap or that large a solection..Leroy Merlin have some in stock and to order ...

Hi Terry, thanks for that. Think I will give it a miss after all considerations. Maybe next time I am over in UK I will buy over there and then give it a go. Again thanks for your help.
