Buying or Renting A Car

Buying or Renting A Car

Postby Bettyboo » Thu Apr 04, 2019 4:29 pm

Hello everyone I need to get around a few places but don't really know anyone. Shopping etc and finding it hard walking everywhere. I only need a car now and then. What is best to buy or rent every now and again?

To buy any sort of a car you could reasonably rely on you're likely to be looking at shelling out upwards of a couple of thousand Euro, plus of course there is maintanance to consider, so I guess in large it comes down to your definition of "now and again"!

Depending how far you envisage roaming taxis could work out cheaper overall.

Insurance approx 250 - 300 euro a year. Suma road tax, 16 - 50 euros a year. Service 100 euro a year.
Obviously depends on car and circumstances.

im paying £165 a year insurance for a 1.1L Fiat Sciecento Sports, and the suma(car tax) is 65 euros.

Taxis can be extremely unrelaiable, weve found.

If you live near us (the Torettas) we can give you a lift t o habaneras/lidl/mercadona/hiperber now and then, send me pm

As you live in Quesada, Bettyboo you will use Quesada Taxis which are very reliable. If you go out of the area you will have to use their Taxis to get home but Bars and Shops usually have numbers of Taxis and might even call one for you.
I used Taxis a lot as I didn't want to drive when left on my own. If you join clubs you could go by Taxi and perhaps find somebody who lives near you. It takes time to make new friends.
