FARMERS LAND BETWEEN PUEBLO BRAVO AND DONA PEPA
FARMERS LAND BETWEEN PUEBLO BRAVO AND DONA PEPA
by panchotaff » Fri Apr 12, 2019 3:39 pm
Hi
We back out on to the farmers field between Pueblo Bravo and Dona Pepa. Over the past couple of days they have been dumping hard core in one of the corners of the pond / lake
Does anybody know why they are doing this work. Is the farmer trying to fill in the pond / lake?
Thanks

jeez, building on land fill. Marvellous. Some of the building practices in Spain are hairraising. EG When they wire up a house they appear to be unaware of the concept of a 'ring main' - and ive yet to see any evidence of PME (Protective Multiple Earthing) on the incoming power. . And they have a habit of burying copper pipe in walls and floors, which is a really bad idea, and a practice the Uk stopped back in the 1970's.

before any new build construction the land has to be tested,soil/rock stability, earthquake zone etc,the rubble dump is used as backfill ,foundations are excavated down to stable and suitable ground then a reinforced concrete slab laid ,and built upwards from there, with reinforced concrete pillars as an earthquake measure, and reputable or any building/construction companys must show or have ready for inspection concrete samples of foundations, pillars etc as they build, and in some areas, the habitable part of properties must be at least 1 meter or more above ground level to protect from flooding ,so beware if you have a converted underbuild with out the necessary building licences your insurance could be void,

I think that your all going overboard it’s this building talk. It is alleged, that the farmer refused to sell the land for development and his will protected the farm for a further 25 years. I’m lead to believe that he died three or four years ago so, we’ve got crops and dust to put up with for another twenty years. That’ll see most of us out!
And anyway, the water storage pond represents a very small part of the farm. There is plenty of solid land available, land that is accessible from the existing road networks.
Why do we always want to hold an inquest when construction machinery moves onto a piece of land? Especially an inquest where the evidence is pure guesswork, speculation and rumour? Whatever happens, happens, there’s bugger all we can do about it, except move!

It’s interesting if people offer facts, not guesswork.

I concur. The point is building more houses when there are a lot already empty and for sale depresses the values. Its very relevant.

What’s strange is that the prices they charge for these new builds is not depressed at all. I don’t know why people pay these prices when you can often get so much more for less.
