PETROL STATION AT AIRPORT HAS GONE

PETROL STATION AT AIRPORT HAS GONE

Postby Mac3blade » Mon May 13, 2019 9:13 am

Important for all car hire users.
Most people fill up at the little filling station before the airport. It seems that it has been knocked down to make way for the new road. I believe, you will have to go to El Altet to fill up or if coming from Alicante, look out for another one.

Be warned! Can you imagine how many people will be caught out and have little time to go searching for fuel..nightmare.

Please tell everyone who hires cars.

But why do people cut it so fine when arriving for a flight? It can’t be that unthinkable, to give yourself an extra half hour for those, ‘just in case’ moments

The golden rule of IT Project Management - calculate how long you need to complete. Then double it to allow for expected unknown delays. Then add 20% for unexpected unkown delays.

Still used to run up to the wire sometimes.

I do not understand why people still use the 332 to the airport from Quasada much easier to go on the AP7 no speed cameras as well
You can also go through Benimar to Elche and take the new road E20 past the Football stadium

Thanks for the info
Last time I flew out it was closed no tanker visible they were just waving you out
Had to drive up to the roundabout and drive back to the place someone else mentioned.
Pain in the proverbial
Vowed never to rely on it again so no great loss to me

I tend to use the AP7 and then fill at the services just past Elche.

Firefly at least count the petrol station at Gran Alacant as a full return . . . but fill up locally first at their prices are high . . .

No cars fuel gauge is ever going to register 20km or so taken out of a full tank so fill up +/- anywhere within that distance from the drop off.

Car hire companies only briefly look at a gauge and if it appears full (full enough not to give the next customer reason to question it) then full it is !

I found out at my cost. BEWARE Gold Car charged me 50 Euro + Fuel for returning car less than full.

A company to be avoided at all costs
