How to register s1 form

When you get the SIP card it will have the name of the doctor and the nurse you are registered with on the back of the card and you see them every time you go. You can make an appointment in person at the Lo Marabu centre or you can register with Torrevieja salud (it's in English) and make an appointment on line.
When you do the online appointment, you will be given options for a day and time with the doctor you are registered with.
If you need to see a doctor urgently and there are no appointments available, you can go to the Lo Marabu centre and they will make you an appointment for 12:30 which is a sit and wait until the doctor comes free. There may be quite a few others waiting and the doctor occasionally puts a list on the door so you can see how many are in front of you.
You need to take your SIP card with you every time.
If you have an urgent need to see a doctor when the Lo Marabu surgery is closed you can go to Rojales which is open out of hours and see a doctor there. Alternatively, in serious cases, you can go to Urgencias (A&E) a Torrevieja hospital with your SIP card and you will be triaged with a priority given. If it's busy you may have a long wait. If it's urgent and you are given a high priority you will be seen very quickly but, with people coming in by ambulance, you may slip down the list.

Thanks Marcliff so is it likely the Doctor and nurse we are assigned to will be at the Lo Marabou Centre?/I know, I guess I will find out when it happens, just wondering...while Rojales is more convenient ( walking distance) , have the feeling Lo Marabou may be more accommodating. Talking about people who rarely go near the Doctor's at all BTW (long may that be so...)

You can’t pick and choose the surgery you want to attend and must use the doctor you are assigned to.
Also, I understand it is very difficult to change Doctors with or without a valid reason

What constitutes a valid reason? My first doctor was a miserable old ..d so I eventually managed to change my doctor. I put down on the form no es simpatico, this was accepted. However my new doctor, although very nice didn't diagnose a problem I had so I have lost confidence in him.. Just wondering what reason I could give this time? I don't think incompetence would be appreciated.
I was told that , my doctor doesn't speak English was not accepted. Fair enough!

Hiya we got ours a few months ago and we got told we could see and choose which doctor we wanted in Orihuela but if we chose one that wasn't the local one they wouldn't do a house visit, which is fair enough.
