Artificial Grass swimming, pool area

Artificial Grass swimming, pool area

Postby Spikeyhair » Mon May 20, 2019 11:26 am

Hi everyone,

Can you please advise re artificial grass surrounding a swimming pool. Is it non slip, in particular, for small children when wet coming out of the pool. Currently this particular pool has supposedly non slip tiles but both our young 2 and 3 years old grandchildren have slipped when wet. Many thanks in advance.

A friend of mine has it fitted but it tends to get very hot underfoot in the summer.

Neighbours have it around their pool and they have the children over, they've never said it's slippery and the kids are always running around.

We have it on our solarium it's much cooler than tiles in fact it's great softer to fall on Richard has also put it around the urb pool it's an absolute bonus

It gets really hot in the summer and a nightmare to keep clean if you have any plants nearby

Hi,

As other people have said it does get very hot in the summer time but so do ceramic floor tiles.

It is much safer and I think you will find that you children/grandchildren do not slip like they would on ceramic tiles. It does not lose its colour and the colour fade is guaranteed for ten years, it has holes underneath so the water [when we have torrential rain] does not settle it just runs away. I love it, have had it for two and a half years and would not be without it and it is around our pool also.

Best surface is stone carpet as anti slip also permeable so no puddles and cooler then tiles costs about 27 pm square and can be laid directly over your existing surface
