We have a videophone system on our gate and it is very good. When someone rings the bell the video shows the person calling and there is two-way speaking.
One word of warning, try not to put the outside camera in Full Sun, the lens on the camera can become cloudy (similar to car headlights) .
Our system is Avidsen, bought from AKI, but I notice they have a different make now on display. Le Roy Merlín have a wide choice of systems.
