Driving to Ikea

Driving to Ikea

Postby ozzysteeve » Sun Jun 02, 2019 12:25 pm

Hi all, we want to drive down to Ikea from Dona Pepa next week. Can anyone please advise the best place to get onto AP7 and hoping to avoid a toll.
Of course if we have to pay it we'll take it as it comes.
I recall driving back a few years ago you can possibly get off just before La Zenia shopping centre (toll) and take the N332 back to Donz.

Any help appreciated.

Going on the AP7 to La Zenia is the long way and the most expensive.
As Jpeg's map shows, you need to head the other way on the AP7 towards Elche and then catch the A7 after Almoradi. Much quicker and no tolls.

Google maps brings up that way anyway so try sticking it on there on your phone - just check before you set off. It looks "wrong" in that you start heading off in the wrong direction until you fork off to the A7 and then start heading South. Quite pleasant scenery too among the mountains.

Yes i agree it looks nice and easy on the screen but alot different when your actually driving with cars up your backside looking at road signs.
Im thinking of marking a sign, head towards that, and then do it section by section.

I've always gone via Orihuela on the CV91, and then joined the A7. No trolls to pay.
