Very true Benjy can’t believe how many are abandoned and ill treated here. Nor how people behave towards sensible caring dog owners. One person suggests we walk our dogs in the gutter rather than on the pavement and carry a bottle of water to pour after they urinate. I know it’s a hot climate but what do they do about the visiting cats

Tell me about how dogs are treated by some, this dog came into the shelter today...could not eat ect due to all the matted fur ...it is now at the vet and has been shaved and washed ...

Agree they should be banned for life owning any animal! We have just gone through 16mth of sheer hell trying to get our dog legal he's a staffy and we know loads of people on forum didn't have any probs all in all €700.00 later finally got documents if we hadn't got it a can truly say I would have gone back to England with him then stay here without him!!

A friend of mine fosters English bull terriers and British bull dogs, she has just got one today and it's beautiful, she said it's so gentle and loving and then she posted a picture of another British bull dog that is covered in sores and spots, one scratch and it bleeds, how can people leave animals like that, I just don't understand some people. They do need shooting.

Chrisdee my heart goes out I've had staffies all my life the our the softest most gentle of dogs and that it was the reason they were called nanny dogs because how they are with babies/children I understand the fear because they are are very powerful dogs but the onus is up to the owners just like parents bringing up children
