As with all insurers, ypu do not know how good, or bad, they are until you claim. And someone elses experience with the same company you insure with is not guarenteed to be the same as your own.
Insurance, whether it be car, home or health, is a lottery!

You can say exactly the same about many topics not just insurance.

e.g.

Mobile phone deals
Broadband
IPTV
Electricity suppliers
Car hire
Restaurants
Estate agents

The list is almost endless and includes just about anybody who provides a product or service!
