Habitation Certificate/licencia Municipal De Ocupacion

We already have this document dated 2008, we’ve been told it is only valid for 10 years and have to renew it. Do any of you know whether this is correct or not please? Many thanks in advance.

You do not need to renew it unless you are going to rent out or sell the property .

As you put your location as Quesada then Rojales town hall.
But, as jpeg has said, there is no need to renew it unless you are renting or selling. This certificate is now only valid for 5 years and not 10 any more.

One last question, is there a cost for a new certificate?

The cost will vary depending on which area you are in. The tax for getting the certificate stamped does vary. As does the length of time the certificate is valid - some locations still have a 10 year validation.

but you don't need one if you're not selling and already have water & electricity connected!
