Currency transfer

hi all,

i am actually at this time dealing with a company called "key currency" based in london. they have an agent in the area who i am told will accompany me at the notary office, and then take me to their bank, Sabadell, and deposit the cheque into their euro account, which will then be transferred to our UK account. they are saying ZERO charges for this, as they make there bit on the exchange rate...

will the uk bank charge a percentage for this? this sounds like a good idea, i would like to hold onto the draft and deposit it myself if i could!!

if that's what you intend to do, before you do, I would be checking how much they take off you for privilege of you using this uk euro account, sneaking suspicion it would not be cheap, compared to other methods.
