Underground Water Leak

Hi All,

It appears that I have a water leak under my mosaic drive. I would like a recommendation of someone who could dig up the drive and repair the leak. Of course need to get this done ASAP.

Any good recommendations?

Depends on the circumstance, of course, but it might be quicker/cheaper to re-route a new pipe

We had a leak under a terrace, was much easier to sacrifice a garden border and install new

Not sure on legislation re depth of trench (there are regs in the UK I believe) - they went pretty deep!

My parents had the same problem. They had the water rerouted and now have it above ground so they can see it. Their bill for the water was over 1000 euros.

If its leaking in one place chances are it will leak further down as suggested have it renewed and re routed

Hi. Good advice to lay a new visible feed. Not attractive but at least you will see any probs. I don't know the age of your property but in my experience the plastic feed tubing is only around a foot or so deep.. This is OK but it is not frequently surrounded by sand to prevent sharp stones etc prenetrating the tubing; also the plastic joints are not good and should be replaced with metal ones. Chances are you will get more probs if not replacing with new brass or heavy plastic tubing.
Hope this helps..I do speak from experience having had a bill for 2.5 mil euros 3 years ago.
