Parking in the cave area

Is it safe to park the car in the area just over the caves late in the evening? The events at the caves are usually late and I didn't see any car parked there.

The carpark at the entrance to the caves is fine, but it does tend to get very full when there is an event on.
(During the arts market, they actually close the carpark to allow access for emergency vehicles if needed.)
The road way between the caves and the school is fine though.
And no problems with vehicle safety.

Yes... I'll be parking in the street there tonight as it gets very busy!
