Disabled friendly bars recommendations

Postby Gilltaylor » Sat Aug 24, 2019 10:08 am

I’ve got a broken ankle and in a wheelchair or using walking frame. Any suggestions for bars coffee places etc suitable to access please? Benijofar/ Quesada or further afield. Thanks.

Thank you. Yes we do need to be able to park nearby. I think the drive to La Mata is a little far yet as ankle has metal pins and is painful. But thank you.

Apart from El Mondo's which is on the floor above Studz Bar, I would imagine that there are quite a few choices
in Benijofar, Benimar & Quesada itself. Just about all are at street level (not sure about the toilet facilities in all though)
and parking is on the street or very nearby. Rojales itself is still very Spanish feeling with lots of café/bars dotted around.
Another area with easy access & parking is Lo Maribu (near Consum, Aldi & Wok buffet). Good luck & enjoy.

The Old Don Carlos is great and as an added bonus there is a disabled loo downstairs on the ground floor. No steps to get inside either.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. The Old Don Carlos is that the one down near La Laguna hotel?

Maily you obviously dont frequent the old Don Carlos as what they meant is there is a toilet downstairs on the ground floor level so no stairs & easy access & parking off the street entry. Also further up the rd you have La Vida, Aurora & Coopers all with easy parking & access from the street. & Gilly yes its the one besdide the Laguna Hotel. :text-goodpost:

Contrary to the above posts The OLD Don Carlos is the one on Quesada high St.
The one by the Laguna Hotel is the LITTLE Don Carlos
