Can i just say to all these people who say that the lifeguards on Guardamar beach finished "several weeks" ago. Why then were their a significant number of them patrolling the beach both yesterday & today!!!!!!!!!!!

because the sea is full of dead animals and to fit to swim in and also raw sewage i wont not go any near the sea so i hope they are warning peps to say out of the sea till the flood water drys up

There are loads of signs up saying to stay off beach. I was in Guardamar yesterday and people were on the beach and kids in the sea. Then they will wonder why they have bad stomachs

From Guardamar town hall just now:-
The sands of Centre and La Roqueta beaches are now opened to public walks. Until new order, bathing is still forbidden.

Yay, swimming is now OK on central & roqueta beaches'

After cleaning and water analysis, bathing and walking are allowed on the beaches of La Roqueta and Center.
The rest of the beaches, although suitable for swimming, are pending cleaning, so we ask for collaboration. As soon as the maintenance is finished, it will be communicated. Thank you.

After test the water the Mayor said that water is in order for bathing, the sand is clean in the central area of the town too.

aren't they still releasing cr*p from upstream into the Segura though?
I will watch from the bridge in Rojales tomorrow to see if there are any animals or other things floating by to the sea.
