Bins not being emptied.
Bins not being emptied.
by Black » Thu Oct 03, 2019 7:35 pm
I've noticed that locally, rubbish is piling up around the bins as they are not being emptied frequently enough. At first I thought that this might be because the contractors were otherwise engaged clearing up after the flood (this might still be the case, for all I know).
I recall recently reading that the contractor was replaced recently, and now I wonder if this is the reason for the build-up. Already the feral cats are tearing open plastic bags containing food waste, I guess it's only a matter of time until the rats appear.

I have reported this to Derek Monks in the Centro Municipal in Quesada. He is on Facebook as well and wants to be made aware of the lack of bin clearing.

It have been so for some time.

A lot of rubbish around them.

Not only are they not getting emptied daily, they have removed at least 6 of the bins in Ave Del Mar in Pueblo Bravo. Disgrace.

And in Avda Del Mar people are putting rubbish in the invisible bins (the one that has gone) rather than walk 50 meters to the next one!

Yes, what is happening on Quesada?
Things have been steadily getting worse for some time now.
Just before the recent elections there was a flurry of work carried out, having retained control the council has continued on it’s slide. They did a job on us!!
The bin collections have never been so bad, there are weeds like trees growing out of the pavements where previously they have been sprayed, the roads are in rapid decline. Like the original poster, I had thought that the rubbish collections had been effected by the recent disaster but where they have not been collecting, rubbish builds up around the bins and it is plain that the jobsworth dustmen will not collect this up as it isn’t in a bin that has already overflowed.
This council has lost it’s grip, hopefully people will remember this and not be fooled again the next time there is an opportunity to give them the boot.

Have "bin" out here a week now and bins in Ave Del Recorral have not been emptied. When out here in August bins were emptied daily, during the daytime, what's going on?

We in Calle 3 have not only lost one of our bins but with the HGV lorries travelling along our road have caused the road to subside over the main sewer. Despite reporting this to the council for the last three years nothing has been done other than throw some infill in the hole.
Not long now until a lorry goes right into the hole.
