It's very easy with a good fine tooth saw

Hire circular saw remember to cut upside down and cut front to back support on 4 timbers 2 each side of cut

There is a Brico located just off the Avenue de Valencia on the road going towards Habaneras. Go into the shop and walk past the cash desks. Walk towards the right of the shop and go through a small area and turn left. There is a counter there. If you have your measurements and a drawing, they will sell you this and you pick it up once paid at the rear of the shop.
If you already have the said worktop, then try some of the previous suggestions.
