Amazon fire stick problem

Help please,,,Is there any one in Spain that owns a firestick that ‘DOESN”T freeze continually? If so, please tell us the secret. Mine is 4K and has over 90mb steady fibre speed. I’ve emptied all caches and got rid of apps I don’t need.

Have you done the speed test on the stick? The best way is with ethernet conector adaptor to the stick direct wired to router.

As I say, I’ve got more than 90mb and it’s steady.

Download a apk called Background Processes. sometimes even though you may have deleted apks they can still be running in the background. If they are the apk will show you and you just force stop them.

Another thing you can do is go to YouTube and type in your problem and someone on there will show you what to do.

Thanks everyone, I’ve done all the test, been on you tube and google with no joy. You tube is awash with solutions but none of them have fixed the problem. The thing is Obviously not fit for purpose and it’s going back with a strong letter to amazon for selling such rubbish. Good luck to anyone that doesn’t have problems. Ps. Bought from amazon.es so should be ok for Spain.

I have 2 Firesticks and never get freezing even on the !st Gen one both connected direct to router and only 15 mbps download delivered by dish line of sight

Is it a new one? I bought one not long ago to upgrade from my 2nd generation one but it kept freezing and would buffer loads on streaming. As I have had and loaded several for family members I realised it was faulty and sent it back for refund

Still using my 2nd generation one on 10mg download speed with no problems . They are a fantastic bit of kit when they work right don't give up millions of people cant be wrong

It’s a new one, latest model. Only had it since new year. Perhaps it’s faulty as you say.

How are you measuring your speed, on the Firestick itself or by other means?
