Postby Noel on Keys » Wed Feb 12, 2020 8:42 pm

Well, what a fantastic turn out for the start of the 2020 live music sessions on Sunday at Cuevas del Rodeo, Rojales... with over 80 people turning up to listen or partake in the sun !

Amazing weather and a friendly atmosphere makes this regular event the place to be on a
Sunday from 12 noon to 3pm..not to mention the great Mojitos from the lovely cave bar, soft
drinks also available.

We always welcome new musicians / singers so feel to come and join in.

House band, Drums, Bass, Keyboards, Guitar.

PA and amps provided, bring your drum sticks / guitars.

For car park and caves access set satnavs to..

Calle de la Atalaya. Rojales

The ‘open to all’ music jam sessions are on every Sunday except for the first Sunday in every month when alternative music is put on for the cave artists displays and stalls, so there will be music on every Sunday.

The Sunday ‘open sessions’ feature local musicians and anybody with musical ability who wishes to join in with the main band which makes for an interesting few hours as it’s amazing how much musical talent
there is around the area...We’ve had Trumpet players, Trombone, Violin, Cahon, Double Bass, amazing singers, drummers, guitarists....we need more keyboard players though.

It’s a great few hours before getting on home for the Sunday roast or BBQ and lots of people bring picnics to enjoy while listening to the music...

May I finally add that the house musicians are not funded by the local council, they do it just to play in the magical atmosphere of the caves, so a small donation is requested to keep the event going...just a few Euros helps the upkeep of the musical equipment which does get a bit dirty on stage...( sand and earth fall onto the stage area)

You have to access the caves parking from the high road that runs from Rojales to Quesada Park Aquatico, if you Google ‘Public School Prince of Spain’ the entrance to the caves car park is right by the school.
