Just for information, Hairdressers are always classed as moral boosters in emergency situations, as in second world war hairdressers were exempt from national service..

Butchers open and the Chinese shops are to. Others are compromising. For example Diferencia in Benimar is closed (As its a cafe/ resturaunt) but have a stall outside another shop still selling bread, rolls etc. Pool shop also open as is the newsagents, electrical shop and opticians near Consum.

I didn't know which of the dozen or so threads on the subject to put this on. It would be nice if we could keep existing threads going instead of starting brand new ones every time something happens. Already 2 threads on EasyJet flights turning back so would be nice if they could all be kept on the same topic and then people wouldn't have to keep jumping around all over the place.
However, Torrevieja has closed access to all beaches.
Shops are open, just clubs, bars, restaurants, council offices and sports facilities that are closed. Some shops are closing on a voluntary basis.
You are not confined to your homes. If you want to go for a walk, do so. Just try and avoid crowds if you can.
Supermarkets in Spain, unlike UK, get resupplied at night time. All supermarkets were stocked first thing this morning but the crowds started straight away and now lots of empty shelves again. Consum at 9:30 had the stuff in I wanted yesterday but my neighbour has just come back and said there are now loads of empty shelves especially on the meat side and fresh veg. Plenty of packet and tinned stuff around.
If there is anything new please add as it does make this site so good and informative but please try and keep the number of new threads down as it will be very easy to miss something if dozens are started on the same subject.
