Amazon prime

Amazon prime

Postby Mac3blade » Tue Mar 17, 2020 2:13 pm

Our daughter keeps on telling us to get Amazon Prime....not necessarily for deliveries but for all the tv programmes and music. Neither of us has a clue! We have enough tv with both Sky and Netflix but as Amazon Prime are offering a free 30 day trial, perhaps now would be a good time to avail of the offer. Do any of you use this service? It must be good because Julie ( daughter) raves about it.
I await your comments.

I have used it for years and have more than recouped the cost with all the free post deliveries as I buy a lot of spare parts from Amazon

Amazon Prime in Spain less than half the price of Amazon Prime in UK (€36 a year compared to £79 a year) and is well worth it for the free delivery (usually in a day or two) that comes with it. Plus Amazon music.
It does have some Spanish content but the majority is English. You just have to ensure it is linked to your Amazon.es account.

We use it mainly for ordering goods and delivered to the lockers. Excellent service, wouldn't want to be without it.

What are "the lockers" please, Chrisdee? Sounds like it may be a way to avoid having to wait in several days for a courier delivery!

Sometime Google is your friend!

https://lmgtfy.com/?q=amazon+lockers

While Amazon Prime and Netflix may be best options in UK with IPTV being so freely and cheaply available in Spain the advantages of both are significantly diminished.

The vast majority in UK will have never even heard of IPTV and if they have unless they have experienced it for themselves will have little concept of the breadth of material available on it and therefore not be the best qualified to advise on what is best for someone not living there.

I'm just stating a reality, not inviting arguments about the legality or performance of IPTV which for most is perfectly satisfactory.

Final point: Amazon lockers are pretty thin on the ground in Spain and bearing in mind the current travel restrictions I seriously doubt that a journey out of potentially many km simply to collect a package would be classed as 'essential' or unavoidably necessary.

My main thing is using Amazon Prime for entertainment. I am not so interested in deliveries but wondered if anyone thinks the streaming of music and programmes are worth the monthly payment.
