Supermarkets supply

Gama and Lidl this morning. Both fully stocked although Brit type biscuits in Gama in short supply but deli and meat counters groaning.

Lidl seemed to be completely stocked except no coffee beans or eggs. Everything else fully stocked. Everybody queuing to get in and one in and one out but very orderly. Singles only and no couples going around.

But why do some people seem to think the rules don't apply to them? Not in the shops but a couple taking a dog for a walk on my drive up there. And it wasn't just to let it do its business as they were crossing a road.

Are all the shops giving gloves? Just wondered do you get your gloves first then your trolley?

For those in high risk groups there is a very simple and practical logic to buying a little extra and that is it reduces the frequency of going shopping and therefore potential exposure to infection, it could be a life saver!

Hi...MY experience of Lidl and Mercadona is that you get a trolley...go into the store and hand cleaner and gloves are available.

some people, are just simple and unpractical all they can think about is self, self, unfortunately,my experience of elderly people if they are in a routine of shopping on mon, wed,Friday, thats what they going to do come hell or high water, afterall I overheard one lady who said I,m 90 no ones telling me wen I can shop,i,ve lived my life, how selfish is that,

My husband has just returned from Lidle. He was given hand sanitiser and gloves before entering the shop. Hardly anyone in there, all selves fully stocked and no shortage of chicken , meat or toilet rolls ( or anything else) No one at the tills. He said it was a good shopping trip ( better than in “normal” times :D
Apparently Mercadona is the same , no problems there either.
Good to see common sense has prevailed at last.
Happy in the sun.

If I go out of my house then Gama is about 600 metres to the right and Lidl a little further on the left.
So about a km between the two.
I live smack in the middle of Gama/Lidl/Consum and Aldi and even Mas y Mas is just a little further on. None of those are much more than a km from where I live.

I get my knickers in a right old twist when I've got those poxy gloves on and try to open one of those plastic bags from Mercadona for the fruit and veg, I just cannot seem to do it. I have to take a glove off, don't start me on the mask and glasses!! My breath steams my glasses up I can't bloody see, I try to breath gently and it still happens so I take my glasses off or put them on my head, the string they are on gets tangled in the masks elastic, and if I've got a headband on, well..............
You've gotta laugh haven't you, keeps us going.
