Income tax return

Income tax return

Postby Debra Arnell » Fri Mar 27, 2020 1:37 pm

We have been asked by our contadores (accountants) to get all the paperwork ready for them to submit our 2019 tax return. It seems some things just carry on as normal! Has anyone else been asked to do this? We were hoping, given the current situation, it would be deferred.

Only two things certain in life, death and taxes.
The moratorium on taxes being dithered about by the Spanish government only applies to businesses as far as I am aware.
I'm starting to get mine ready as, after all, it's not as if I've got a lot else to do. Can't do it for a few weeks, though, as I don't get P60s etc from UK until after April 6th.

Was told by mine that they were working from home and would let clients know when they were back in the office to be able to do tax returns. May be different now they have extended the quarantine date

Had the same response from my solicitor/accountant Kathyl

P60 interesting. Can get on line. As a civil servant my pension is taxed only in the UK.
Last year I was ,investigated, by the Tax authorities. People are claiming to be ex civil servants and avoiding tax.
All sorted, except, the Tax Authorities would not except the P60, it was not in Spanish. My accountant translated it.

Even he was giving out profanities regarding Spanish Bureaucracy

Any further updates I,ll post
