moving to Quesada

Postby harsuespain » Sun Apr 05, 2020 10:59 am

Hi everyone,
Can anyone shed some light on our dilemma,

We have just sold our apartment on the Costa del Sol and are planning to move to the Quesada area, we are due to complete in the near future. As our present home will no longer belong to us and our new home will be in Quesada, is this a justifiable reason to travel? We will also have to have our belongings brought up by removers at the same time. We will of course become homeless if we cannot move. My wife and I, because of our ages and with underlying health problems are considered high risk,

If you are Spanish resident then you ought to be able to make a case for the journey, you'll certainly need some sort of official paperwork to show the Guardia when you're stopped as you surely will be - and quite likely more than once, just having two in a car will ensure that!

If the buyer for your old apartment isn't desperate to move straight in would it be possible that you could arrange to rent it back for a while, looking from the standpoint of your health I think any travel beyond that absolutely essential would be ill advised.

Do you already have a home in Quesada to move to, either owned or rented, or do you need to find somewhere?

Thank you all for your suggestions
To: El Buho, Our lawyer says wait and see.
To; A.N.Other, Yes we are Spanish resident and take on board your comments. Regarding renting back our property from our buyer, they live in the UK and so they cannot get over and renting is plausible.
To: Espanabums: Yes we have a property that we have reserved.

Thank you once again for your comments.

I think you have the right to travel to your primary address.
I would contact the Guardia Civil for clarification.
