Empty Property

Empty Property

Postby Ritchtee » Sat Apr 25, 2020 1:14 pm

Hi

We live in a semidetached house and the house next door is empty, and has been empty for the 2 years we’ve been here,
The garden outside is full of rubbish etc so definitely bern left or repossessed

Is there a way of finding out 100%?
Parts of the property are starting to crumble and needs attention so obviously it’s a concern

I’ve asked local agents but they don’t seem to know how to find out if it’s owned

As Polop says then, either contact the president or the administrator. They can actually get it cleaned up and charge the owner I believe if it is that bad. Of course, at the moment nothing's getting done. You could at the moment maybe send an email to your administrator if you have contact information to get the ball rolling.

We have the same problem with 2 properties on our community. Our administration send the owners a letter to inform them that if they do not clean their garden within 15 days , the community will instruct gardeners to do it and the cost will be put onto their community charge for them to pay.
Happy in the sun.
