Open Air Markets - from Sat 4th May
Open Air Markets - from Sat 4th May

I understand that the Valencia Province has authorised open air markets (Essentials and fruit and veg) from Sat.
The nearest to Rojales is in La Marina near Iceland. With the travel restrictions is there leaway to travel to these markets?
Seems pointless allowing them to open, if your not allowed to travel to them.

Why not go to the one in Rojales, I assume that will be open?Steve4878 wrote:I understand that the Valencia Province has authorised open air markets (Essentials and fruit and veg) from Sat.

Silly Question !
Why would anybody need go to any market for fruit and veg etc when all the local supermarkets sell everything anyway and most of the time the products are better quality and price. PLEASE NOTE 'most of the time'
Is La marina a 'test' market -
Firstly to see if anybody actually goes, Secondary to see how they manage social distancing, Thirdly so the Old Bill can stop and fine loads of people for not being local to their area,
I do not think going to a market to buy fruit and veg is a justified reason that can be regarded as necessary journey, or is it just a day trip to Icelands international !!!
Someone please explain the logic and how a tomato or a spud from a market is so essential ?

More to do with the market people being able to get back to normal. This was in one of the Brit papers the other day and only one entrance and one exit and only one person allowed in with sanitizers and gloves as you enter. Stalls must be 2.5 metres from each other, stall holders must wear gloves and only the stalls selling food can open.
Of course, those who live in La Marina/San Fulgencio and, possibly, even Guardamar could go.
It also mentioned the San Fulgencio market will be open on 7th but didn't mention any other markets.

No you cannot travel for a market unless it's in your own town.
If you want to travel further you'll have to wait until Phase 2 on May 11th. - maybe!

It's not possible to go to Rojales until Thurs 7th as they don't have a saturday market, doh. So La Marina near Iceland is the only choice for the person enquiring.
I read that Torrevieja are not yet ready but La Matt should be open on Weds 6th.
