Switching Electricity Supplier from Iberdrola - Experience ?

Switching Electricity Supplier from Iberdrola - Experience ?

Postby talkisgood » Wed May 20, 2020 8:32 am

Has anyone had experience of this website, which calculates your mains usage and then relates that to the most economical providers ?

(Its in Spanish only).

https://comparadorofertasenergia.cnmc.es/

I have entered my details into it and there appears to be significant savings to be made by switching, but you wonder about jumping from frying pan to fire !!

I have a considerable power usage and it seems like a 40-50% saving could be made.

Many thanks ....

I have just had a look at the site and we could save about €200 to €250 a year so would be also interested if it's easy to switch

Anyone trying the model calculation needs to look out for the 'only new clients' or 'not for existing clients' ...

Are the comparisons based only on actual kwh usage???
You need to look at all other charges to get accurate comparison..
Its all the other charges that hike the bills up.

We pay around 12 cents peak for 10 hours and around 5 cents off peak for 14 hours with Iberdrola.

Would be surprised if any company beat that.

Doorstop caller said they could, neighbour changed to them, now their Bill's are 30% higher.

You wont find my tariff listed anywhere on the Iberdrola web site as you can only have it if you have a Smart Meter which hourly Bill's. Therefore your cost is determined by hourly production costs.

Interesting information ... how do you go about getting moved to the Smart meter and therefore the real time costs I wonder ?

I saved 35% simply by changing to day night tariff and getting rid of insurance 6-7€ a month still with Iberdrola

All houses in Spain are being fitted with Smart Meters eventually. It's possible if you changed to hourly billing they would install one for you early.

The contract is VPSC with time of day rates in 2 periods.
Meter type. Smart Meter Billing by hourly consumption.

Hourly rates are published 24 hours ahead on web.
However it's never changed much in past 2 years.
