La Marquesa Golf Course and surrounding area

La Marquesa Golf Course and surrounding area

Postby Spain2018 » Tue May 26, 2020 9:07 am

Does anybody else feel the same, that the road approach to the La Marquesa Golf area looks particularly messy and unattractive. For example, on the corner opposite the Petrol station looks like a abandoned building site with broken walls etc and another example is the building (the ex Punjabi Palace Restaurant) has been partly built but now left and looks abandoned, how can this be allowed to happen ?
People coming to the Golf course complex must be less than impressed.

I agree - the old Punjabi Palace has been like that for about 18 months - but by and large the work on the golf course has been a great improvement and must have cost a fortune. It took a lot longer of course because it was flooded twice and they had to raise the level to hopefully stop it happening again. My main complaint is the mess all along Sierra de Gredos (right at the top of the driving range) The trees are a permanent mess and don't get pruned often enough. Consequently a number of people have cut them off halfway up to help cope with the leaves, flowers and seeds - and they grow a mile a minute! Also all the bushes growing through over the pavement from the golf course. It's impossible to walk past them now so you have to cross over or walk in the road - and weeds grow in the road, so what with the usual problem of old sofas and junk being dumped by the bins for weeks, the road is a liability, especially for those trying to sell a property down there. We did complain in writing the council last year and they came quite quickly to clean it - but now it's worse than ever.

The building work next to Bar Unicaja, at Marquesa, is ridiculous. It was work in progress in January 2019 and seen little forward movement since.

Maybe 2 weeks work 8 weeks delay. Nothing to do with Covid19 just appalling local planning.

Spain loves starting buildings and leaving them for years (or forever).

Please give us a break Spain.

Get a life
It will be completed when it’s completed.
A lot more issues to worry about right now without thinking about when work will be completed
Lock down has had its toll on more than me and you.

If people choose to live in Spain then they must get used to the little anomalies of life in the Sun.Of course you can choose otherwise.

It's good to see the immigrants are happy with Covid-19 and it's not a problem.
