I will also be flying to Spain in 2 weeks to stay in my house in Spain
I work from home and have been extremely respectful to all the rules and will continue to follow rules in Spain
Why some ex pats are totally rude towards us who still live in the U.K. is beyond me,
When we move over in 3 years I am sure I won’t be nasty or bitter like some people on here
For most on here people are lovely and helpful but others are just rude

I couldn’t agree more! So many Brit Bashers, that think they’re natives. Quesada fish and chips, then home in time for Corrie.

Surely life in Spain isn’t that miserable that they have nothing positive to say...ever!

And that comment is NOT, insulting?

In the 21 years we have owned homes in Quesada we have noticed, increasingly, how some expats have moved over and then proceeded to assume an air of superiority over the "Tourists" as they condescendingly refer to non residents. Having seen the growth in the local economy over this period it sure as heck doesn't come in the main from the "Locals" non residents still have to pay taxes and local tradespeople without fully benefiting from the services year round. People need to remember that without this influx of money the idyll in which they live may not be so good.

Lol - spot on.

Daily Mail readers that delight in the sensationalist news in the U.K., harbouring bigoted views on every subject regarding the U.K. known to man despite not living there to witness. Upon gaining residency and with linguistic skills to be able to order a coffee and a gin in Spanish convincing themselves they are Miguel de Cervantes.

It’s been the case for as long as I’ve known, but in recent times it’s more noticeable than ever.

(Two coffees in Spanish is dos cafes and in Catalan it is dos cafes).

One swallow does not a summer make. And to be fair marcliff, your postings here show clearly you are not in the same group as I have stereotyped.
