There are lots of ways to do it, sliding screens like most windows, fixed panels that you can clip on or clip off, or ones that look like roller blinds. These have the netting in a cassette fixed to the top of the window enclosure and you pull them down and clip them at the bottom. A very cheep way of doing it is to buy a roll of netting and some velcro tape, you stick the tape around the outside of the window frame and smooth the netting into the velcro hooks. Once it is up, though, it is up.

IMHO the cassette types are the best and you can easily raise them to clean the windows, ours stay in position 99.9% of the time, they don't interfere with opening the window. We also have a big one the width of the two patio doors, as we don't use them normally for going in and out. You can fit them singly on either or both patio doors too. On our main door, which we like to keep open, we have a side to side concertina type screen.

If you are handy, you can get the kits for the roller blind type from places like Leroy Merlin, To fit a window of up to 140 cm x 140 cm they are 29.99€.

Alternatively you can pay about 20€ more and havem made to meaure in a bricolaje, we use this place in Guardamar del segura.

The concertina type are very expensive, about 250€ for a standard door frame, but they are worth it to keep the biting critters out.

When asking for them in a Spanish bricolaje you need to ask for mosquiteras, think of it as quitting mosquitos.

We have also purchased screens from the above mentioned shop. They have samples made up which you can view. They are very helpful there and will explain exactly how to measure your window and they are very easy to fit to your window frame. Some of the staff also speak excellent English.
