Can anyone recommend a riding stable close to Cuidad Quesada where they speak English? Sorry to say I have no Spanish yet thanks to lockdown but will be having lessons ASAP!
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, be very careful here. Check carefully, Livery etc is not like it is in the Uk, Horses are ridden whether they are lame or not. they are usually kept in shocking conditions, never cleaned out fully, exercised etc. Usually there is no vet or farrier and the owners do all the jobs including dentistry on the cheap. If you are recommended somewhere, make an unannounced visit. Most horse displays hide immense cruelty behind the scenes and you will notice spurs are used. Suggest you contact easy horse care rescue centre to see if there is anyone they can recommend. sorry, but this is a fact out here.horses were kept as status symbols and not as pets.

Isn’t there a horse riding place just off the Lemon Tree Road. By Consum, the pathway leading down towards the lake?

Jess's Pony Express near Catral is the best in the area, English owned and run the horses are very well cared for. You will find them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/JessPonyExpress/
