Torrevieja Ayuntamiento Christmas Payment to Pensioners

Torrevieja Ayuntamiento Christmas Payment to Pensioners

Postby Bee » Sun Nov 15, 2020 11:16 am

Torrevieja Town Hall has reinstated its Christmas Payment to pensioners. You can apply online or at Casa Tercera Edad, 70 Calle Pedro Lorca between 9.00-14h00 and 16h00 -18h00 once the notice is published in the Alicante BOE in the coming week. Applicants will have 10 days to complete the application. You must be over 60 and in receipt of a Retirement pension or a Widows or Orphans Pension and be on the Padrón for at least 2 years. Your annual pension cannot be more than - I think the figure is €11,100.

It applies to all Residents over 60 who have pensions below the cut off point. Doesn't matter where you are from or where your pension is paid from.

I don't know the answer to the queries. Maybe freddo or Chrisdee would know. Below is the link to the application form and a suggestion to contact the International Office. Everything is by appointment these days so I have posted details below. Can anybody think of any other society that might be able to shed some light on it like Age Action.

The aplication form is on the Ayuntamiento website on the link below. When you open it go down to the box that says

Ayudas Pago Único Colectivo Vulnerable por Edad y Escasos Recursos

http://torrevieja.es/sal/docs/cabeceras/1000/Ayuntamiento/Ayudas%20y%20Subvenciones/

It looks for attachments like proof from pension provider and if you receive your pension from abroad proof of bank lodgment.

It asks for all members that make up the household

Remember the total household income cannot be greater than €11,100

I would suggest that maybe a trip to the Foreign Residents Office and they may be able to help with what is required.

You have to make a cita previa on the www.torrevieja.es website https://torrevieja.sedelectronica.es/citaprevia.0
select Residentes Internacionales, English, Dutch, Scandanavian - It is the third one from the bottom
of the list. Seleccione Agenda appears and click on Horario and a list of dates and times comes up. Select one of these and a time and fill in the form with your details. Just don't expect a reply back but do turn up on the day of your selected appointment.
