Rust water in water heater - time to replace it?

Rust water in water heater - time to replace it?

Postby whereswally » Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:11 pm

just moved into an apartment and doing some kitchen renovations. removed the water heater and emptied the water to find theres a bit of rusty water at the bottom. is this an indication it needs replacing or possibly just a result of it not being used for several months? im guessing the lining has worn away, my guess is its at least 7 years old.

thanks!
