Good news we don’t want our infections going up again

I also read youngsters are arriving by plane from France to Barcelona, doesnt make sense.

Madrid is refusing to close its borders as it said the power to close or open the perimeters was devolved to the Communuity Presidents and the Minister for Health can't override that. The President is threatening legal action against the Minister for Health.

Madrid will keep its borders open however Madrileño's will not be allowed to enter any other community that has its borders closed, Policia local are asking for people to report any infringement on this.

In the official Madrid Region gazette they have stated that the borders of Madrid will be closed during the Saint Joseph (San Jose - Father's Day) and Easter holidays but will lodge an objection to the overruling of the regional decision.

How are all these people, driving U.K. registered cars, getting into the country if France has only just opened its borders to the U.K?

I can only assume lots of GB cars have been here since pre Brexit

The French border was open if you fulfilled certain conditions for travel similar to UK allowing travel under certain circumstances so presumably they are in the area under legitimate reasons for travel. As has been said in another thread they may be any EU nationality who happen to live in GB and are driving a GB plated car.
