We have a small laminated card showing all the relevant details of our 2 vaccines. Is this the 'vaccine certificate'?

Also, what is its purpose other than giving that information? Its not (yet) needed for travelling anywhere - is it?

You need to download the official one as said on other posts. I asked for one of those as I wasn't given one and had to fill it in myself. Only handwritten.

EU Covid Vaccine Certificate

It will be used for travel in the EU from 1st July. Individual countries can request a negative covid test but this certificate is looking likely to what is acceptable. The EU has also agreed to accept other nation's certificates on a reciprocal basis provided they show 2 vaccines with an approved jab.

Note that the certificate only comes in to play after you've had the second one at least 14 days previously so it won't give the you the complete certificate until that 14 days since your second jab has passed.

I had my second jab, that day I downloaded my certificate, all now hunky dorey.

Did you download the EU covid-19 digital certificate or the Generalitat Valenciana covid-19 certificate?
One has this as a heading

That is available a day or two after when they've updated their records.
