Electricity

If you want to cut your electricity bill try pulling out the fridge/freezer and clean the heat exchanger and motor. (Unplug first)
This is usually the appliance that uses most electricity over the course of a year as it is switched on 24/7
If it is all covered in fluff round the back the compressor will be constantly struggling to maintain temperature and so will be running for much longer than necessary.

I think if I put on all apliances, radio, and vacuum the floors at 1am, I will save on my bill.

Unbelievable , as we have never had a bill that low and certainly not at this time of year. I have not used the dishwasher or washing machine during the most expensive hours but not changed anything else. Very happy.

That is remarkable! Mine was higher than that and I am back in the UK so the house is empty!

As was mine PGA and like you I'm not presently in Spain - perhaps they have a special tariff for us blow-ins

I'm with Iberdrola and when I saw the new rates I was dreading the bill as I'm on the 8 hour tariff and my "cheap" hours are all the new high rate hours. Just had my new bill and it was a pleasant surprise at €39.81, about €20 less than normal! I'm using my appliances the same as normal, i.e. between 9am & 1pm in the morning and between 7pm & 10pm in the evening. No way am I running the washing machine etc at midnight, I'd never sleep!!

Gone are the days of the chap with clipboard and baseball cap coming round and writing it on his pad.
