Is there much Covid in this area?
Is there much Covid in this area?

If you have Covid at home, it must be reported and is recorded daily. Tests are sent out and people telephone daily reminding you not to leave your home etc., My friends who have it tried to get through to their doctor but only finally had a call back on the Monday after initial call on Friday. The call to the Spanish number proved difficult as it was in Spanish so nothing was recorded.
All tests have to be paid for by yourself, 10 tests cost €50
All of our tests are freely available for home testing and will be posted out if positive or believe yourself to be positive. I brought tests with me but bought an antigen test at the pharmacy costing €6.70. That’s expensive if you need to test a few people. Can they be accessed free of charge in Spain and if do, how?
When the doctor ‘phoned my friends, she said she’d call again on Friday and if still unwell would send an ambulance to take them to Torrevieja hospital for PCR tests. This has frightening them Incase they’d be hospitalised.

In the UK the tests are free. In Spain you need to pay for them. What country's covid numbers do you suppose is more accurate?

I’m horrified. I suppose I thought every country provides free testing. You are quite right. People either can’t really afford the tests or don’t want to spend the money. I was shocked when my friend said she’d paid €50 for 2 boxes of tests. We can have as many tests as we want a too fart home. Is it any wonder that Spain is showing such a low incidence? One of the U.K.'s favourite holiday destination is is those two weeks I'm trying to type something offOh dear. Grossly unfair to trusting people who believe there’s no covid about and there actually is. My friend was walking around the supermarket when her husband called to say he was positive and she then tested positive the next day. Let’s hope these masks do their job.

That’s good news. How and where did you get them? . Did you have Covid19? Were they sent out to you?

I had one because I was going into hospital for an endoscopy. Authorised by the doctor they're free. Go in to a chemist to get them and you need to pay.
