banks

Hi everyone. We are in the process of purchasing in the area as from UK mostly being done online before we come out to sign on the dotted line. Have completed the online application with Caixa bank to open the bank account for purchase. I submitted and sent the required documents almost 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing. Have semt email and also no response. Anyone offer any advice or suggestions?

It ws the one recommended by the estate agent. Just went with who they advised

[same as us many moons ago, our branch in Torrevieja are dreadful don't even accept cash over the counter. Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous.

You should never take the advice of an estate agent they are in it for the money

I work for one of the "big 4" UK banks. Caixa are vastly better.

If you knew what went on inside big UK banks, you'd get your money out of them ASAP.

In the UK:-
* Some banks pay interest on credit balances.
* Some banks perform better than others.
Many of us select banks based on these factors.

Been with them a few years now and never had an issue my previous bank Bankinter I would say they have got to be one of the worst.

So you should ignore any recommendations from anyone involved in real estate! That puts a stop to me recommending you (jpeg) to my clients when I think you may be able to assist.

Been with Caixa for donkeys years and before that Bank of Valencia, never had any problems, and with on-line banking never have to go in person to the bank!
