Alicante airport

Has anyone been to Alicante airport recently?
We are flying to UK tomorrow and wondering if we should get there extra early in case of ques?

Without wishing to sound flippant, it really is how long a piece of string ?
In January I dropped a friend off and they went straight through security.
The Following day I returned to UK and the Queue to security was back to the escalators by Costa.
When I returned in Feb, I went reasonably quickly through security. When I got airside, the queue to get the second set of security gates where passports are stamped was back to the corner by where the new bar has opened.
That said I was through in less than 10 minutes, but people were panicking at the lenght of the queue, and who ha dleft it to the last minute to rush through
I last returned to UK end March and straight through security and straight through passport control.

I would say if you are travelling with hand luggage only, beware you might get a deley of about 20 minutes or so. But to be fair to the airport they are usually pretty good.

But if you are putting luggage in the hold I would be tempted to get there that little bit extra earlier, because I would think that is where any significant hold up would be.

I presume like all airports weekends are busiest but weekdays would be quiet.

My Daughter and her husband went to Alicante airport this morning. Luggage dropped off, through Security and Duty free shopping done in less than an hour! No problems.

Biggest problem is the passport gates as said extremes happen my advice go straight to p/port gates after any bag drop offs there is Burger King and coffee dtops that side

Arrived at 2.30pm today and checked in and through security by 3pm..quietest seen Airport in a long time tbh

We flew out today Saturday the drop off for Ryanair took a hour to drop off cases if that’s helpful.
